ByteForge
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the ByteForge website collects, how we use and protect it, and your rights.

Who we are (data controller)
The data controller for this website is [ByteForge legal entity], [registered address]. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@byteforge.software.
Contact and newsletter data
When you use the contact form or subscribe to updates, we process the details you provide — such as name, email, and your message — to respond to your enquiry, provide the requested service, and, with your consent, send product updates. These forms are handled by our own API, not by analytics.
Legal bases
Where GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: your consent (analytics cookies and newsletter); our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and keeping the site secure; and steps taken at your request before entering a contract. You can withdraw consent at any time.
What we collect
We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode. After you accept, we measure page views, scroll depth, section engagement, and conversion actions such as contact or newsletter success. Events use coarse labels only.
What we do not send to analytics
We do not send email addresses, names, or message text to Google Analytics. Contact and newsletter forms are handled by our own API.
Cookies and storage
Your Accept or Reject choice is stored in localStorage on this device. Google analytics cookies are only written after you accept. Before accept or after reject, Consent Mode keeps analytics storage denied (Google may still receive limited cookieless pings).
Change your preference
Use Cookie preferences in the footer to accept or reject analytics again. Rejecting after you previously accepted reloads the page so tracking scripts stop for this session.
Service providers
We share limited data only with providers that help us run the site and respond to you — for example analytics (Google Analytics), bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), hosting, and email delivery. Providers act under agreements that restrict use of the data to our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country, including outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the provider's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and reasonable follow-up, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics configuration.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. If you are in California, you may request disclosure or deletion and opt out of any sale of personal information — we do not sell it. To exercise a right, email contact@byteforge.software. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
